Higher Vibrations

There are vibrations all around you. Think of all the things you are exposed to on a daily basis. Some are lower vibrations and some are high vibrations. When we only expose ourselves to low vibrations, that is what our body, our mind and our spirit expects. That is what we are content with. ⁠

Seeking higher vibrations allows your body, mind and spirit to tune in to the vibrations that motivate lift and inspire. As you seek higher vibrations, in time, you start to expect higher vibrations and are no longer content with the lower vibrations that do not feed you. ⁠

As you feel your life with exposure to high vibrations you live a more motivated and happy existence. ⁠

💗Thanks @lilmisslisajean for your insight on this topic. I love looking at life through the lens of making sure we get exposure to high vibrations and I love explaining it to my kids this way. It's like putting into words what I have always felt.💗

Let It Go

You guys in yoga today I learned about new research showing that the knots in a persons body automatically dissipate upon death.
Um what? Holy moly. I can’t even tell you how much I love learning about things like this. To learn that there is proof that it’s our energy and mentality that control the knots in our body. Wowza! Does that amaze any of you?
Goes to show how important it is to LET IT GO!
Yesterday, friends, I was around some negative energy and I soaked it up like a sponge and it stressed me out and I even began getting a cold sore from the stress. Where was all the stuff I practice all the time?
It teaches me we are all just trying BUT not to give up. The practice of letting stuff go in life serves us so well, stress turns into knots and we hold them. Decide to let it go. Decide to get out of the funk be it momentary or a long time coming. ♥️♥️♥️

Grandeur

Life Figured Out

I have a fierce desire to remind you that none of us have life all figured out. This yoga pose - yeah I figured that out, BUT it doesn’t mean I have all yoga poses figured out or all the rest of life figured out! 
That is why we are all here. We have stuff to figure out. AND it doesn’t do any of us any good to go around thinking that people - no matter who they are - have life all figured out. 
This is the beauty of life. The figuring out. This is what brings us real emotion and forces us to grow and gives us a desire to share and help others with the things that we do have figured out. 
So whatever you don’t have figured out right now, accept it as your next thing to figure out. You are not the only one going through what you are figuring out and you are not the only one figuring! ♥️ Sending love & reassurance that you can figure this out! 😘

Never stop reaching my friends!  Recently a dear friend said some words to me that helped me through discouragement that seems to be pressing on me. ANYONE ELSE?  Woosh! Sometimes I feel like a target!  

AND - Get this real quick, she shared this with me because someone else shared this idea. For real people we live in a cool world. And seeing things like this help pull us out of the dark!

So here is the idea. That a seed, if it could feel might feel similar to me. Thrown into a dark pit and covered with weight and darkness. The seed tries to reach beyond itself, but still only finds dark. Then as if the dark and weight and lonely is not enough, some loving caregiver feeds it with what feels to the seed like a flood. A flood that knocks the air out of it for a time. Eventually, it dries out and the seed reaches more, and it cracks, almost breaking the seed. After it's new state the seed only finds more darkness and another flood and is still feeling the weight of the dirt placed upon it. It takes much effort for the seed to keep trying, to keep sprouting but when it finally breaks through to the sunlight it begins to multiply and quickly changes from just a seed in the dark, to a full grown plant. Green and glorious with the capacity to absorb so much light through its leaves and being stronger in its roots for all the time spent in the dark.

This was beautiful imagery for me.  I wanted to cry when my friend poetically spoke this analogy to me. It was what I needed that day to keep me going. So, my friends, today I share it with you, hoping that someone else, one of you needed that same imagery. KEEP REACHING TOWARD THE LIGHT. You will break through. You will see light. You will feel light and you will be stronger for all the reaching you do.

A World Full Of Light

So how, children, does the brain, which lives without a spark of light, build for us a world full of light?"

It's always been fascinating to me that the world we live in truly consists of what happens inside our own brain. Of how much it is ultimately up to us to create a world that we love, a world where we want to be, a world full of light. Go on my friends, create a space you love. I promise you have it in you.

Today in Yoga my guru Lisa @ Be Hot talked about where we spend our time. When we spend too much time in the past she suggested we are spinning through depression and when we spend too much in the future its stress. She encouraged us to embrace the present and to reside here, in right now. 

This is a reminder I need to revisit sometimes. I think we all do. It’s normal to feel stuck sometimes. It sucks but it is normal. Today, mostly after her pep talk, I needed to reflect on the things she said. 

While she talked about residing in the present, she also talked about doing things with our whole heart. Like not half your heart, the whole thing!  Remember the quote, "if you are going to do something, do it well” ?? Thats what I think of when I think of doing things with my whole heart. To do it right and put my energy into it, to feel it. 

Today, I was having one of those days when I just couldn’t put my whole heart into what I was trying to do. I was too busy playing around in the future. Although I wasn’t really playing - I was stressing. Which also looked like distraction and being unable to focus. Am I speaking anyone’s language? Have any of you been hanging out in the future? 

I had to pull it in. I even had to go do something else for a while that was still productive but didn’t require my whole heart, I went to the grocery store 😂  I went out into the sunshine and I listened to uplifting things. Then I prayed. All these things helped me get centered. They helped me let go of the stress, let go of my thoughts of the future and allowed me to be here. Present and back at it with my whole heart. Back where I can give and love. Back where I recognize that all I really have is today. Back in the present. Loving the right now.

Sacred Space

Many of us are suffering because of a lack of sacred space that we allow within ourselves. When we look to devote ourselves to a divine higher purpose we fill in that sacred space. I love thinking about this and I love that my yoga instructor this week has kept this conversation going for me. Thank you Kallie @behotyoga I also taught a lesson last week about Spiritual Gifts and how when we are searching to fulfill the gifts we are given it erases all comparison. Be you. Fill in the space and devote yourself to the good that is already in you. Don’t you love approaching life like this? A little more space for loving ourselves.
